Most gum disease is caused by bacteria. So, you know, if we educate early
and we realize what we're dealing with is bacteria we can help educate
people on taking care of their teeth properly with good brushing skills,
good flossing skills, good diet. We should not see, just because we're
getting older, my gums are falling apart. Getting bone loss and getting
recession. You really shouldn't see that anymore.
It's a new time, a new day and age, and people don't have to follow through
the footsteps of their grandparents or their parents. I mean, it's not
something we have to inherit. We inherit habits but we can also inherit
good habits. And, you know, the more we educate each other on what we
learn, the better the habits can be and we can then pass on to our kids.
